Water Adventures in the Region

Water can be gentle and still, but also wild and vibrant – and that is precisely what makes the rivers around Radstadt an exciting area for summer experiences. From paddling fun in the white water of the Enns to swimming through, abseiling, and jumping in rocky gorges, the region offers diverse opportunities to experience the power of water up close.

We are pleased to recommend the following activities for an active summer day away from classic hiking trails and swimming destinations.

Experience Description

Canyoning in Abtenau leads through natural rock landscapes where water has created deep gorges over millennia. Under the guidance of experienced guides, you will move over rock steps, swim through small pools, and can jump into clear mountain water basins at suitable spots.

Part of the tours involves abseiling down waterfalls – always with appropriate safety equipment and instruction. The combination of movement in water, concentration, and natural scenery makes canyoning a special experience amidst alpine landscapes.
