Winter hiking in Radstadt offers a peaceful alternative to an alpine ski day. Cleared paths and well-marked routes lead through snow-covered meadows, along the Enns, or up to sunny viewpoints. Many routes can be reached directly from the hotel or within a few minutes by car.
Whether it is a leisurely walk in the valley or a somewhat longer loop with a gentle ascent, the region around Radstadt offers varied options for different fitness levels. Sturdy shoes, warm clothing, and your winter experience can begin.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides in Filzmoos & on the Gnadenalm
Through the Salzburg winter landscape with two horsepower. Wrapped in warm blankets and accompanied by the steady sound of hooves, you can experience nature at its own pace.
In Filzmoos, the rides start directly in the village centre and lead to the Hofalmen. The round trip takes around 3.5 hours including a stop, leaving plenty of time for refreshments before heading back. Sleighs of different sizes make rides for two just as possible as outings with the family.
On the Gnadenalm near Obertauern, rides of around one hour through the high-alpine winter landscape are also offered. The route runs between Vorder- and Hintergnadenalm, along the stream and through snow-covered woodland sections.

Ice skating at the natural ice rink in Altenmarkt
On clear winter days, the natural ice rink in Altenmarkt offers a wonderful way to spend time outdoors. The approximately 900 m² ice surface is opened—weather and ice conditions permitting—usually daily in the afternoon and early evening, and allows for a pleasant lap on the ice in crisp winter air.
Ice skates can be rented directly on site. In addition, Altenmarkt also has an ice-stock sports facility where groups or families can enjoy some sporting activity.
