Experience Description

In the Hallein Salt Mine, you will immerse yourself in the world of white gold, which has shaped Salzburg for centuries. Even the ride on the mine train deep into the mountain is a special experience.

Equipped with miner’s clothing, you will travel through tunnels and shafts, passing multimedia-staged stations that vividly tell the story of salt mining. A highlight is the long wooden slides that miners used to use to reach the interior—today a fun part of the tour for all ages.

To conclude, the path leads across an underground salt lake, which once again impressively underscores the special atmosphere of this place.
